Helping with a problem
Keeping track of what is happening when and where is a challenge many community members have expressed over the years. It is particularly difficult with students at multiple schools. Our TPA is working to help fix this problem.
One stop calendar for the community
We will work to capture date, time, and event information for events happening at Thunderbird High School, at all of the feeder schools (Mountain Sky, John Jacobs, Lookout Mountain, Moon Mountain, and Shaw Butte), and events that folks in our community will find interesting.

Raising funds
We hope that this calendar solves one small problem. We also hope that if this calendar works we will drive enough visitors to our website to generate ad revenue we may use to fund our TPA programs.

We tag each event with the school(s) connected with the event, community, and Thunderbird Parent Association for our events. Our calendar includes search functions so please – search for your event or your school to see what you find.

August
TPA hosts welcome back breakfast Monday before school starts
First school day
TPA helps bring in 10-15 volunteers to help welcome Freshmen to campus, hand out schedules, and start the school year.

Support Open House
Late August Thunderbird hosts an Open House event where families can learn about the many amazing club, sport, and activity options on campus. TPA volunteers are there is serve cookies and share information about our group.
September
Paint Senior Parking Spaces
TPA typically organizes the first parking spot paint day in September when temperatures are a little more reasonable.

Homcoming support and HOCO Parade
TPA Volunteers help with this community and school event.
Auction Party anbd Golf Planning
Getting everything ready for one of our biggest fundraising events of the school year in November
November
Silent Auction Night and Golf Tournament
The TPA hosts a silent auction party on a Friday evening (typically the second or third Friday in November) followed by a Golf Tournament on the following Sunday. This is our biggest fundraising event of the school year and a whole bunch of fun. We need volunteers and we need attendees.
January
TPA hosts back to school breakfast
The TPA hosts breakfast for Thunderbird High School employees.
May
Senior Grad Night
The TPA goes all in to help send off our Seniors with a safe, fun event where they get to celebrate their Thunderbird High School experience with their friends.
